Senisi Fine Foods

 


 
Senisi Fine foods at 1080 College St. West, just a few doors East of Dufferin on the North side.
The deli/coffee shop/gelato business has a wide variety of items for everyone. The area in between Dufferin and Ossington on College is opening up and expanding, and Senisi is a nice addition to this community.

Courense Bakery & Pastry

 






Courense Bakery & Pastry at 1014 Bloor Street West, right in between Ossington and Dufferin subways, has a variety of great Portuguese pastries. Their coffee is cheap at only a dollar for a small, and pictured above is an Iced Latte, priced at three dollars.

The Bickford Flexitarian on Harbord and Grace


At the south-east corner of Bickford Park is the recently opened Bickford Flexitarian café and restaurant. They have vegan, raw, vegetarian, and meat foods. It's flexible in it's menu so it can accommodate a variety of people.

Right now they are specialists in brunch, coffee, and pastries, but will be expanding their dinner menu. The location took over the previous Linux Café. It's located at 326 Harbord Street.

McDonalds has a small coffee and a muffin for $1.45. Pretty cheap deal, hard to find a lower price for that combo right now.

Stoneground Dijon, Bavarian-Style Pretzel at Starbucks

 

 

 


This pretzel has a tangy taste of Dijon mustard. You can see the mustard seeds in the inside, which give a distinct but understated flavor. Interesting pretzel, prefer the cheddar one however.

Iced Coffee at Starbucks (Euclid and College Street)



 
Starbucks at Euclid and College Streets in the midst of Little Italy has a nice little patio which can seat around eight people, and a nice décor inside. Iced Coffee's, tall sized, are about $2.55.

United Coffee on Ossington Avenue


United Coffee opened up in early July just a few stores North of College Street on the West side of Ossington. They have espresso based coffee and free WiFi. Quaint little coffee shop that can seat a few people and is opposite the now defunct Coffee Time, and just two doors away from the falafel shop.

Courense Bakery Coffee

 

Courense Bakery at 1014 Bloor St West, has cheap coffee and relatively inexpensive and tasty Portuguese pastries. Pretty easy-going and nice servers. The area on Bloor between Ossington and Dufferin has a lot of coffee shops, and many which have opened up in the past couple years. Starting from Ossington Avenue and moving West you have Ella's Uncle, Sheesha Lounge, Bakerbots Baking, a coffee shop right by the Delaware entrance of Ossington Station, Artegelato which has coffee and gelato and pizza, Nova Era bakery, Rustic Owl Cafe, El Cafecito, Courense Bakery as mentioned in this post, The Common, The Steady Bar & Café, and good ol' Tim Hortons (AKA Timmies).

Lit Espresso Bar




Lit Espresso Bar (810 College St.) has a nice atmosphere, good coffee, a variety of pastries and treats. The chocolate chip sea salt cookie is a great one, that is pictured above with their Americano drink. It's just a few stores East of Ossington Avenue on the North side of College Street.

Another amazing feature of Lit Espresso Bar is that they offer free coffee tasting on Sundays at 11am.

 

Manic Coffee Iced Latte

 




 

Manic Coffee (426 College St  Toronto) is a fine establishment at College and Bathurst, that has great coffee, surfing magazines to peruse, and gelato if you like. Pictured above is a cold iced latte.

El Cafecito on Westmoreland and Bloor





Just a few doors North of Bloor Street, at 3 Westmoreland Avenue (Right smack in the middle between Duffering and Ossington), is an organic coffee shop called El Cafecito. It is a quaint little place that looks homely and nice inside, is decorated with coffee bags from across the world as well as Mexican Art. The coffee shop has empanadas, cookies and other pastries, as well as good espresso based coffee. The peanut butter and chocolate chip cookie is a fine selection to tantalize your taste buds with. There's also salsa dancing and French folk dancing on certain evenings.

Pictured above is a refreshing iced latte, great for the summer. It's a tasty beverage and not oversaturated with ice, so gives a lot of milky and coffee goodness in each indulgence.

At the Christie and Bloor location, in the heart of Korea Town, just a few steps South of the Christie Subway Station. And million more locations in Toronto. Tim's should be opening a new location in your basement soon enough.

Dineen Coffee attracts a business crowd, a lot from the Bay and King Area during the 9-5 Monday to Friday hours. The recently opened coffee house has a nice patio, great indoor décor, and is convenient located around Richmond and Yonge, at 140 Yonge Street.
